An important element of Nevion’s design philosophy is strict adherence to industry standards for unmatched interoperability, evidenced by a recent Ventura application using JPEG 2000 compression for contribution-grade video over IP transmitted signals more than 20,000 kilometers, through 18 interconnected nodes and equipment from multiple vendors, all without a single error or interruption. Nevion’s commitment to standards applies equally across its network management and control solutions and each of its product lines: Flashlink, Ventura and VikinX.

Nevion’s strategy for ensuring customer loyalty is delivering high value, future-proofed solutions—not limiting customer options with proprietary equipment. Where standards are not yet fully defined, we work with the industry organizations to help develop them, and to ensure that Nevion implementations will comply when a new standard is adopted.
