The Ventura product family increases the flexibility of any video transport network. Whether deployed for fiber-overlay transport, telco interfacing to SONET/SDH or IP, with or without signal multiplexing, Ventura products deliver unequalled scaling and flexibility. As a telco-grade solution, Ventura exceeds the engineering requirements of the harshest operating environment with NEBS Level 3 certification, providing an extensive range of fiber overlay, SONET/SDH and video over IP solutions.

With the Ventura platform, Nevion provides the aggregation of ASI signals, contribution video encoding using JPEG 2000, and confidence monitoring of ASI, SD-SDI, and HD-SDI signals. With the exception of the highly dense version of our confidence monitoring system, all our services are established via Ventura cards (blades) that fit in the Ventura chassis. The Ventura platform is founded upon integration, future proofing, and an awareness of the environment. Thus, our designs are highly integrated using the latest in FPGA technology, allowing us to produce compact and efficient designs that are ‘green’ (consuming little power and never using more resources than is necessary). In addition to the benefit of being ‘green,’ the use of the current state-of-the-art in FPGA technology allows our current generation of Ventura modules to be remotely upgraded through IP network connections. This allows us to provide firmware updates for major functional additions, greatly extending the life of the platform. Ventura chassis are available in two rack-mounted configurations and a portable mot-box:
