In the optical domain Nevion has adopted the ITU standardized WDM, CWDM and DWDM wavelengths to provide 1310/1550 WDM, 4, 8 and 16 CWDM, and 16 and 32 DWDM solutions . Working with the leading manufacturers in the field, Nevion provides a family of single slot solutions that perfectly integrates with all other modules. Together with Ventura’s SFP optical interfaces, this enables the user to add and scale services on an incremental, as-required basis—any service can run on any open wavelength.

Fiber overlay is used by a major US telecommunications company to collect broadcast feeds from a variety of customer premises in over 20 US cities. VS811 multiplexing modules are used to aggregate these signals, which are further multiplexed using Ventura CWDM products, also provided by Nevion.
