Video Service Management

Manage video transport from end to end over IP, SDH/SONET or fiber infrastructure using Nevion’s VideoIPath platform. VideoIPath provides connection management for Ventura video-over-IP networks and Flashlink optical networking. The platform is designed for ease of use and enables service providers and broadcasters alike to efficiently control and manage their video services from one console without having to consider the intrinsic details of configuring the services in the network. 

Video Service Monitoring

The FCS range of video service monitoring products ensures that services achieve target quality standards 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The FCS range provides DVB-ASI, HD/SD-SDI and IP monitoring according to DVB and SMPTE recommendations. The monitoring system details information about each transport stream, tests signals without breaking any feeds, monitors multiple signals at once, and pinpoints signal failures down to the transport stream level. The system also allows service providers to demonstrate SLA compliance and provides valuable input for creating SLA reports.

Element Management

Nevion offers advanced element management solutions for its Ventura, Flashlink and VikinX product ranges that provide advanced Web-based interfaces for monitoring and configuring video transport equipment. They can easily be integrated with Nevion’s DataMiner network management system for management of the entire network infrastructure. The DataMiner system enables operators to efficiently manage Nevion installations from end to end, and also manages third-party equipment.

Broadcast System Control

The Multicon control system enables broadcasters to take full control of Flashlink and VikinX installations for studio and outside broadcast applications. Multicon is based on an open and distributed architecture, enabling full control of routing and signal processing equipment using either hardware- or software-based control panels. The system can also be integrated with a variety of third-party equipment and automation systems using software plugins, making it the industry’s most flexible integrated control system.
