APS and Optical Distribution

The WOC-2-5050 is a wideband optical coupler in the Flashlink range. It can operate as an optical splitter or combiner. One or multiple wavelengths can be used on the fibers. The WOC-2-5050 is a 50/50 optical coupler, where the optical power is divided and distributed equally to the output ports. The wideband optical coupler is typically used in applications where multiple distribution and linear, tapped fiber optic bus structures are needed. The unit is passive and there is no need for power or control. The WOC-2 has two input/output ports and one common port. The WOC-4-25 optical coupler is made for wavelengths from 1260 up to 1620nm thus covering the whole CWDM band.

The Flashlink 2x2 Wideband Optical Switch is a fiber optical SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) changeover module for use together with the WOS-C1 connector modules. Typical applications for these units are elective routing of optical paths without optical-to-electrical conversation and Automatic Protection Switching (APS). The units are controlled via the Flashlink GYDA control system or the GPI interface.
